Topic: Demographics in SF and of your works?

This has been round here some, here and there: particularly given the Cons and all you got to, I'm curious: what have you experienced/seen of female readers, of SF, and of your works?

(Did you like that embededness?)

I'm married to one, of course, and Terran runs this website very well indeed--and by and large, I have about as many women who read my books as men. At least, I hope I have--since women tend to be more prolific readers!

Interestingly, I've even heard from women who read the Forerunner books and are devoted Halo fans. Statistics rarely cover the passion and intensity of reader reactions.

I don't count the Halo stuff, man.

I was more curious about how many females approach you (for questions, and autograph, whatever) at Cons and book tour spots?

As I said, about half. But I don't do statistical checks.
