Mr. Bear. Thank you for coming and sharing with us at NanoCon in Longview, WA. You were truly wonderful and gracious. Thanks for the autographs and posing for pictures with this retired cop and current truck driver. You made my year!

Appreciate the response. Is that quote from Mr. Wittgenstein ' s early middle or late work? Kind of promotes outside the box thinking is how I take it. Good philosophy for sci-fi writing I believe. Enjoyed the reference.

I actually don't know what period it's from, so let's look it up...

Well, a lot of web sites are claiming the quote comes from Korzybski, in 1931. Ludwig W. may have expressed similar sentiments before then, and certainly before he died in 1951. But I'll try to look up the various texts and see just who said what when.
