Dear Mr Bear,
After reading Halo: Silentium I was confused about something. The Gravemind claimed that the Forerunners rose up against the Precursors. Some Forerunners in the book state that it was the Warriors who committed the crime and it is insinuated that they lied to the other rates about the Precursors wanting to wipe them out. If the Precursors however did not wipe out the species that they judged to be unfit for holding the mantle then why were the Forerunner, humanity and the San 'Shyuum the only Tier 3 species 10 million years later? It is also a fact that the Builders beloved that the Forerunners once possessed greater technologies, which they sought to recreate. During one of the Forerunner civil wars the Builders wiped out all rates of their rituals but kept their own. Some secret societies within the Builder rate had rituals with mystical elements that lead to things not found within recorded Forerunner history. However, they seemed not to know about the Genocide of the Precursors (this could be however due to Keeper-of-Tools being in the early phases of induction into the secrets of these societies) even though they were aware of certain symbols that existed during the War. The Warriors on the other hand knew about it and had given strict orders that forbid studying Path Kethona. When a Theoretical named Boundless defied those order she was prosecuted by Juridicals (possibly corrupted by the Warriors) and eliminated in order for information regarding the Genocide, the failure of the Forerunners and humanity's reclaimer status to be kept secret.
[Note: What leads me to believe that Warriors stood highest was the Term Warrior being used instead of Warrior Servant].
However the entire Theoretical rate was merged into the Builder rate. Why was every Theoretical turned into a Builder and not a Miner? Was there blackmail? Did the Builders want to advance their power by absorbing the Theoreticals and blackmailing the Warriors about exposing their secrets? What was the Builder connection to the Precursor Genocide? Did they know everything from the start? Did they use Boundless' data to rise in power? Why did Faber even try to wipe the Warriors out when it was discovered that they had destroyed the Precursors? Was it an act of vengeance along with lust for power? Things definitely seem unclear when it comes to the role of Builders in the Precursor-Forerunner War even though the Warriors probably mobilised other species to assist them in the Precursors' Destruction. In short did all High ranking Builders know about the Precursors' fate (Faber seemed ignorant of it)? Did only certain Builder secret groups (Builder Masons) know about this? Or was the entire Builder rate unaware of the Truth?
Thank you very much for reading this Mr Bear and I hope that you can give me some sort of clarification on the matter. Keep up the good work!
With deep respect,

Excellent synopsis and questions, Gerasimos! It pleases me very much that you've thought over these story lines and character arcs so thoroughly. The questions you ask are well worth exploring, and should 343 decide to fill in the Forerunner saga with more books, I recommend you send your thoughts to those authors! In the meanwhile, I'm in the middle of writing the second volume to my own WAR DOGS trilogy, which also explores interplanetary and intergalactic themes of conquest and war--a favorite territory for me. WAR DOGS itself will be published in the U.S. in October by Orbit.

Thank you very much for the compliment Mr.Bear! I will try to get your other books as soon as I can, but right now I am focused on moving to next gen consoles and getting Cryptum and Primordium in Physical copies (Google books is not as good as real paper).
Btw I know that you are writing other books at the moment, but I believe that if 343 wishes to explore the Sangheili-San 'Shyuum war in the future you should be the one to write it. Your work on the Forerunners was astonishing. Now we know more about the Forerunner than we know about all other aliens combined! Also given the Sangheili's war torn history I believe that you would find a lot of things to explore and write about.
