Just finished reading it. Amazing work...so many new ideas in one place. My head hurts just thinking about how far this whole internet thing may go.

Thanks, Michael! My head hurts with how far behind I am on Internet affairs...

I was just thinking how far we've come. I ordered / online, read it (several times), and here I am discussing the book with other fans and it's author, all whilst sitting in a hammock slung under a shady tree. If I look at this moment through the eyes of the fledgling IT geek I was ten years ago, it's pretty damn cool :-)

And yet at the same time, people are killing other people, or struggling to feed themselves and their families. I can't reconcile the inequalities I see, and that makes me think we have such a long way to go. The short term future scares me.

We're bursting with such potential. Who can say what the next ten years will bring. Information gives us choices, it empowers us. We are becoming more powerful as individuals and as communities.

Regards, Simon

ps, what the hell is a Lobe Sod???

Lobe sods are those who work primarily with their gray matter--like you and me! A shady tree in NZ summer sounds just about ideal. Thanks, Simon.
